5 Most Popular Parks in Seattle

A friend of mind recently concluded a trip to Seattle and as I expected he spent most of his days at some of the more popular parks in Seattle and because he knew that I would enjoy them, he decided to tell me about them. The first park he visited was Alki Beach Park, which he assured me I would enjoy on any day but more so in the summertime. In 1851 this is where the first white settlers landed.

He followed up with Kerry Park (Franklin Place) which provided a perfect view of Elliot bay and and some of Mount Rainer. The full explanation can be found here. I was a bit surprised when he said that Gas Works Park was a good one because there was not that much to do but when he told me about the popularity of kite flying then it made sense to me.

On the other hand, I was not surprised that he raved so much about Washington Park, especially since it offered a large botanical gardens and he loved nature. Neither did his affection for Golden Gardens Park draw any raised eyebrows as they allowed dogs without a leash in some spots. He spoke so highly of these five parks that I am eager to see them all for myself.
